Michael Jordan

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER/CHIEF CREATIVE OFFICER

Michael Jordan

MJ started his advertising career while still a teenager at Amherst College. He began as a copywriter on Coca-Cola, Heineken, IBM, Mastercard and Lego. Then, hired as the youngest EVP ever at Gotham, Mike went on to lead the entrepreneurial agency to 11 straight new business wins, including AOL, E*TRADE, AT&T, Fidelity and Priceline. Some highlights included taking AOL from 5 to 35 million members. Launching E*TRADE with the anti-broker “Someday we’ll all invest this way” campaign. And increasing the stock of Priceline (and William Shatner) from $4 to $60.

As Gotham evolved, Mike ran every type of business – from financial clients like Bank of America and McGladrey to digital clients like FreshDirect and yellowbook to luxury accounts such as Mercedes dealers and Lindt Chocolate. He also wrote the agency’s initial campaigns for Denny’s, Hitachi and Reebok.

MJ has won nearly 100 industry creative awards. But much more rewarding than that has been his successful work with international charities, government organizations and national churches. Mike is a competitive soccer and paddle tennis player. And yes, he disappoints car service men around the world when they arrive at the airport expecting to pick up the “other” Michael Jordan.

Angelle Juneau

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Angelle Juneau

The lead designer and art director at 31 Lengths, Angelle brings a rare mix of left-brain and right brain to her work. Actually, it’s more of a gumbo.

Originally from New Orleans, Angelle was trained at the Creative Circus in Atlanta. No, she did not tame lions or ride unicycles. But she did learn to juggle assignments, balance type, jump through hoops and a few other magic tricks.

Angelle then worked at Mullen and McCann, where she created campaigns for numerous clients like TRESémme, L’Oreal and New Balance. As hire #1 at 31Lengths, Angelle has not only become the  lead creative director, she also oversees all UX design and Information Architecture, ensuring that each website has clear, intuitive flow.

Both her names are a little hard to pronounce. Her last name sounds like the Cajun way to say “Did you know?” Juneau what I mean? (Or, the capital of Alaska, which was actually named after her family.) Her first name, is “On-gel.” As in, “I ran out of hair goop, but fortunately, there is a sale... on gel.”

While Angelle is proud of her many noteworthy creations, her favorite is Genevieve, her daughter born earlier this year.

Merril Cledera

ART DIRECTOR/DESIGNER

Merril Cledera

Merril is the newest member of 31 Lengths’ creative department. She hails from Manila in the Philippines. She speaks three languages – English, Spanish and Tagalog (which is helpful for all our Tagalog-speaking clients.)

A graphic designer by trade, Merril has worked extensively in website design, vector art & illustration, fashion design, and mobile production. A graduate of the New School with a Master’s Degree in Media Studies, Merril has worked at a number of NYC agencies, including BBDO.

Merril’s lifelong nickname is Moyl. But she assures us it has nothing to do with ritual circumcisions.

Maria Rinklin

DIRECTOR OF DIGITAL STRATEGY

Maria Rinklin

Maria joined 31 Lengths in 2012 to spearhead the agency’s digital capabilities. Navigating fast-paced, rough-and-tumble venues is nothing new to Maria. After all, she is a former roller derby player who had to retire after she donated a kidney to her ailing sister.

A digital devotee, Maria has a ton of experience in social media, interactive advertising, media and public relations. Prior to 31 Lengths, she served as the Senior Digital Manager at Gotham, where she was in charge of the social strategies for Denny’s and Chobani.  In fact, she helped make Denny’s the dominant family restaurant on the Internet.

Maria went to Emerson College in Boston, where she studied Public Relations, Marketing and Political Communications. She was an early adopter of Facebook – as it was founded just down the block.

Sarah Jordan

DESIGNER/EDITOR

Sarah Jordan

In a world that is becoming increasingly video-oriented, it helps to have an award-winning on-site filmmaker. Sarah creates video content for our clients including CareFinders, Kiss My Face and Popcorn, Indiana.

Sarah won awards for her 2016 documentary film Recognition about Prosopagnosia or Face blindness. She recently completed shooting another documentary about women’s rights in Argentina.

Sarah has worked at 31 Lengths since 2012 as a graphic designer, photographer, film editor and, now, videographer.

Sean Moroney

INTERACTIVE DESIGNER/DEVELOPER

Sean

We all know that memorable scene at the end of the movie. “Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain ... I ... am ... the ... great and powerful ... Wizard of Oz.”

Well, Sean M. is that man behind the curtain. Great and powerful, he is responsible for bringing to life the dozen or so websites we’ve design, built and maintain. Call him a developer, coder, or programmer, he works in a language most of us don’t even understand. He solves problems most of us can’t identify. And he does it all from his mancave in New Jersey. Because, well, after all, there’s no place like home.

Blakely

ACCOUNT SERVICE DOG

Blakely

All ad agencies are staffed with glad-handing sycophants who greet people with a big slobbering smile. Ours is named Blakely.

Blakely has many functions at 31 Lengths. Welcoming committee. Goodwill ambassador. Security. Food clean up. And she always attacks her assignments with dogged determination.

Prior to 31 Lengths, Blakely worked freelance gigs at Ogilvy, Droga5 and DDB.
